Fraser Lake’s along Highway 16,
It’s a place where most folks haven’t been,
If you walk, run or slither,
‘Tween Prince George and Smithers,
You’ll find us ’bout halway between!
Wow, I can’t believe our little town of Fraser Lake has been able to pull off three successful art festivals in a row!
Congratulations to the Fraser Lake Arts Council, the Festival Committee, the Village of Fraser Lake and all the volunteers who worked so hard to make this event a success.
Of course there could not have been a festival without the many visual, performing, and other creative artists who displayed their talents, both inside the arena venue and outside. And we especially appreciated those that presented workshops and demonstrations for both children and adults. We wanted the festival to be a learning experience as well as an inspiration to others.
There is something about the artistic expression that lifts the spirits. And when there is music and poetry in the air it’s especially pleasant!
We are grateful to the organizations that have funded our festivals during past years such as the Nechako Kitimat Development Fund, the Regional District, as well as our corporate sponsors.
Please stay tuned for the 2018 Fraser Lake Festival of the Arts which will be on the weekend of August 11th, 2018. The festival usually begins with a musical/dining event the previous evening at the Legion (Friday, Aug.10th)
The Fraser Lake Festival of the Arts occurs annually on the weekend following the BC Day holiday weekend.
